

Mary's mom joined us for our Oct mtg. She and Mary's dad are visiting for a couple weeks. They've been trekking all over Germany.



The 2009-2010 sorority year began with Beginning Day on 23 Aug. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures...stay tuned for some at the next meeting!
On Friday, 3 July 09, we said goodbye to Nicole with a dinner at Alt Landstuhl. She's off to Abilene, TX next week. We'll really miss you Nicole. At the same time we held Revealing Day. Everyone got great gifts and had a lot of fun (primarily by comparing notes about Facebook applications).


On Monday, 13 April 09, Mary was promoted to the rank of Major in a ceremony at the LRMC Chapel. We're all so proud of her. She worked really hard for this promotion and it was a great day to see the new rank pinned on!



On Sunday 15 Feb 09, we enjoyed a nice meal, lots of laughs and crowned our new Valentine's Queen - Mary...all at the Bombay Restaurant in Einseidlerhof.



We exchanged Christmas ornaments on Sunday 7 Dec 08 at Garibaldi's restaurant in Landstuhl. Everyone left with a beautiful ornament and some very nice gifts...and the food was great!





Nicole and Shannon went to the Christmas Market(s) in Cologne on Saturday 6 Dec 08. Marisa was suppose to join us but she forgot to set her alarm clock. Go figure.

Several sisters participated in a 5K walk/run for Breast Cancer Awareness on 18 Oct 2008 at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.


Becky left Theta for school in Arizona on 14 Oct 2008. We had dinner at her favorite Italian restaurant, Il Capriccio's in Landstuhl.

Theta sister Mary was selected for promotion this month and celebrated with other promotees at a party at the Ramstein Officers' Club on 29 Aug 08. She was joined by sister Julie.
Loretta from Alpha Nu and Shannon, Nicole and Marisa from Theta teamed up to create a Beta Sigma Phi display in the Ramstein Library on Saturday 2 August. We met up with Karin Anderson of Alpha Nu for breakfast at JR Rockers to discuss the game plan then headed over to the library to get to work.




On 31 Jul, Shannon and Nicole got tattoos. It was Nicole's first and Shannon's second. Becky was on hand to take pics and offer moral support. She'll be getting one of her own on 13 Aug. Stayed tuned for those pics!




On 26 Jul, Shannon and Nicole welcomed back our long-lost sister Becky from her year-long deployment to Iraq. Becky's an officer in the US Army and will be PCSing to the States in October...in the meantime, we're really happy she's home with us even if it's for a short while!!!
On 18 Jul we said goodbye to our newest sister, Jenifer. We wish her the best! Take care Jenifer and look forward to being sisters from afar.

Nicole, our very own chapter Stampin' Up Demonstrator, hosted a craft session at her house on 17 Jul 08. We had a lot of fun getting familiar with the products and putting together gift boxes.


On 11 July 2008, Shannon and Nicole played Coach Bag Bingo in the hopes of winning one of the great bags offered as prizes. But alas, we did not. We did however make a new friend, Becky. We hope to have her join us at a sorority event soon.

On 23 June 2008, Shannon, Nicole and Marisa performed a Pledge Ritual for newest sister, Jenifer. Although Jenifer is leaving us next month, we're happy to have her as a sister...even for a short time.



On 1 June 2008, Marisa graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters Degree. Kimberly and Shannon were on hand to witness the event and of course...snap photos!
On 29 May when we said goodbye to Roxanne. The invite that went to the sisters is below.
We had dinner at the Antica Osteria. Nicole, Shannon, Marisa, Kimberly, and Jenifer were there to say, "See Ya!"
The first photo op of the year occurred on 9 May 2008 - both our last meeting/get-together and the start of the summer! We celebrated Margarita Night with all the BSP Chapters.


2007-2008 Photos
In Jul 07 we welcomed visiting sister Carol...several of us met up at JR Rockers for breakfast and to swap sorority stories.

Also over the summer, Marisa organized our involvement in the Viking Challenge Walk-a-thon. We raised over $800 in support of the Fisher House.


Shannon, Stephanie and Julie stopped by Sukiyaki's in Kaiserslautern to say goodbye to sister Becky who was leaving the next morning for Iraq.

Beginning Day this year, 24 Aug 07, was held at Pancho Villa's in Ramstein Village. We had two guests join us - Nicole and Roxanne. We got the year off to a bang thanks to Marisa's keen organizational skills.

Sept 23rd, Theta Chapter (Shannon, Julie, Marisa, and Kimberly) joined some friends for a train trip to Hirschhorn's Pumpkin Fest and a trip to Heidelberg.

On Oct 14, Marisa, Nicole and Roxanne were officially welcomed into Theta Chapter.

On 18 Oct, Nicole hosted POKENO.

On 7 Nov, a few of us helped Kimberly celebrate the big 40!
Despite nasty, horrible wet and rainy Germany weather, we celebrated Christmas and conducted out ornament exchange at the Schlemmer-Scheune restaurant in Weilerbach.





We celebrated Valentine's Day on 9 Feb at the Alt Landstuhl restaurant in Landstuhl.


During our meeting on 10 Feb 08, we crowned our Valentine's Queen...this year's special lady is Marisa. We also conducted her ROJ ritual.

Over the Feb 15-17 2008 weekend, members from Theta and Alpha Nu went to London to see the play "Wicked".





Marisa celebrated her 27th birthday on 19 Feb.

Also on 19 Feb, Alpha Nu and Theta teamed up for a Tole Painting class.



Theta hosted a RUSH on 29 Feb at the Ramstein Community Center Annex.





Several of us got together for dinner to help Marisa celebrate the end of her Master's study.

On 5 April we hosted a Lia Sophia/Pampered Chef Open House.


On 13 April we performed Angela's Pledge and ROJ rituals and also Nicole and Roxanne's ROJ rituals.



Founder's Day this year was on 27 Apr and was hosted by City Council at the Burgshanke restaurant.
